The management of the Lagos State University, LASU has raised the alarm over plans by some unscrupulous individuals to sabotage the security on campus in a bid to throw the university into confusion.
The institution, in a statement on Thursday, January 25, 2017, said it had received credible reports of plans by some unscrupulous individuals to make the institution ungovernable.
The management called on the entire members of the University Community [Staff, Students and Visitors to the campuses – Ojo, Ikeja and Epe to be security conscious at all time.
“The Security Department has also been mandated to tighten the security on the campuses. Consequently, members of the University Community are enjoined to cooperate with them in the weeks and months ahead, as they carry out their duties towards safeguarding lives and properties on all the campuses.
“Furthermore, members of Staff, Students as well as visitors are equally enjoined as a matter of security importance to always put on their identity cards whenever they are on any of the three campuses of the University,” it said.
