NGO Shows Love For Motherless Children In Ikorodu

Who-Is-Who Progressives Initiatives, a non-governmental organization based in Ikorodu, on Wednesday, December 20, 2017, extended love and affections to motherless children in Ikorodu in the spirit of the Yuletide season.

 

The group, led by its Coordinator, Comrade Sulaimon Ilesanmi, donated foodstuffs, beverages, toiletries and clothes to the Hikomos Orphanage Home located off Ipakodo-Igbogbo road in Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area.

 

Comrade Ilesanmi stated that the aim of the group was to give back to the society and show love and affections to the orphans.

 

“We are particularly pleased to be with you this morning. We are here to show our affection and kindness to this honored home. Taking advantage of this visit, we have brought some materials and edible items along which we highly believe represent part of our own quota towards improving this home”.

 

While commending the proprietor of the orphanage Home and staff, the group coordinator also gave the children emotional words to let them know that they are not alone.

 

“To our children in this home, on behalf of my group and entire Ikorodu people, I will like to let you know that you are not alone. We will keep coming around from time-to-time to check on you and show you love, likewise other groups and individuals”, Alhaji Ilesanmi stated.

 

He added that the long term aim of the group is to establish a vocational centre to train youths in many vocational studies and make them gainfully engaged.

 

Also, Mrs Bolanle Adeshina, the wife of the Ikorodu Local Government Chairman who accompanied the group on the visit, commended the initiative of the group.

 

“It is a very laudable initiative and that’s why I’m with them to give love and affections to the children. This is also part of our project’s programmes, Mrs Bolanle Ambode’s pet project, which our council is also keying into”, Mrs Adeshina stated.

 

In her response, the representative of Hikomos Orphanage Home, thanked the group for the donation of items which she said would complement what the proprietor of the home’s has been doing to care for the kids.

 

She appealed to the member of the public to cultivate the attitude of adopting orphans while also enjoining them to always come around to show them love.

 

Who-is-Who Progressives Initiatives, which was formed in July 2013, is an organization which aims at establishing a vocational centre to address issues of unemployment and upholding moral values in the society.
