The much awaited concert of the award-winning hip – hop act and owner of YBNL music label, Olamide, popularly known as ‘Olamide Live In Concert’ (OLIC), will hold at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere, Lagos, on Sunday, December 17 ,2017.
The crowd pulling concert, which is being organized by YBNL, Red & Axla, Pentagon and powered by the Lagos State Government.
This year’s edition is tagged, ‘Olamide Live In Lagos’, and the choice of the 25,000 capacity stadium as venue for the concert is undoubtedly another first in organizing concert in Lagos.
The three previous editions of the concert had recorded unbelievable success; ‘Olamide Live in Concert I: The Beast Unleashed’ ranked the biggest concert of 2014, ‘Olamide Live in Concert II: Beast Move’ was a sold-out show at Eko Convention Centre and ‘Olamide Live in Concert III : Beast Mode’, was arguably the most successful concert of 2016 and had Governor of Lagos State, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode and his wife, Oba Saheed Elegushi, Senator Dino Melaye and many other dignitaries in attendance.
This year’s concert, which is the fourth in the series, will definitely bring Lagos to a halt, particularly with the release of his new album titled ‘Lagos Na Wa’. It is clear that 2017, just like every other year in recent memory, is the year of Olamide as he continue to give back to his fans.
The Concert is on track to set standards, break existing records, and give fans what they truly crave for and deserve.
Olamide has sold-out international concerts in London, Liverpool, Birmingham, Canada, Manchester, Dublin, Cyprus, Malaysia, Dubai, SouthAfrica , as well as in five cities during his 2016 USA tour.
Olamide is the first and only Nigerian rapper to have an independent sold out concert at the Eko Hotel Convention Centre Lagos; one of the biggest event venues in Nigeria. This, he achieved, in 2014, 2015 and 2016 respectively with his concerts; OLIC1, OLIC2 and OLIC3 (Olamide Live In Concert)
His success in the entertainment industry has earned him several nominations and awards including Best Indigenous Artist, Nigeria Entertainment Award (NEA), Best Rap Album and Album Of The Year, Headies 2013, Best Street Hip hop Artiste Nigeria Music Video Awards, Most Gifted West Channel O Music Video Awards and Best Male Artiste In Africa Afrima.
