Hon Sanai Oyeniran Bolanle Agunbiade defeated other thirteen aspirants on the ticket of All Progressive Congress (APC) to clinch the Lagos State House of Assembly ticket for the third term.
The two-term member Lagos State House of Assembly won 260 votes to defeat his closest rival, Barrister Lekan Ijelu who garnered 129 votes. Princess Oyefusi came third with 35 votes while Mr Anifowoshe Lateef, Nurudeen Lanre Yekinni Agbaje and Barrister Rotimi Ogunleye came fourth with 22 votes apiece. Others are Mr Segun Iluyombo who scored 9 votes, Arch. Adeleye Jokomba 2 votes, Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba 1 vote, Princess Adebimpe Jaiyesimi 1 vote, Mrs Adebiyi Olaide Bolanle 1 vote and one Laide Akorede Olabiyi also scoring 1 vote.
Two other aspirants, Barrister Olatunji Atoloye and Mr Victor Odunsi scored nil in the primary elections which 417 delegates were accredited and voted out of the 511 delegates expected to vote at the primary.
All the aspirants expressed satisfaction with the process, though some are of the view that the delegate system is quite expensive.
In a chat with THE IMPACT, Hon Agunbiade said he was satisfied with the process and thank other aspirants for exhibiting maturity and spirit of sportsmanship.
The two-term honourable also accepted the mandate of his party which he described as revalidation of trust for the third term.
