Since the June edition of IMPACT Newspaper, where about ten aspirants jostling to take-over from the incumbents of Ikorodu Constituency I and II representatives in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon Sanai Oyeniran Bolanle Agunbiade and Chief (Mrs) Hon. Adebimpe Akinsola respectively were analyzed, more have also indicated their interests in the race.
Those analyzed along with the incumbents are Comrade Japthet Odesanya, currently the Secretary to the Ikorodu Local Government and Publisher, The Factor; Comrade Kunle Matti, a Senior Accounting Officer with Ikorodu Local Government and immediate past NULGE Secretary; Barrister Lekan Ijelu, a legal practitioner; Mr Solaja Saka Nurudeen, Council Treasurer, Ikosi-Isheri LCDA; Barrister Rotimi Ogunleye, legal practitioner; Surveyor Segun Benson and Prince Arogunre Abiodun Yahya.
Others that have equally shown interests to join in the race are Mr Nurudeen Lanre Yekinni Agbaje; Mr Adeniyi Anifowoshe (Oloye); Mr Semiu Adetokunbo Osho; Mr Abatan Kazeem, Mr Olusegun Olasunkanmi Bajulaiye Iluyombo and Barrister Olatunji Oladipupo Atoloye among others.
MR OLUSEGUN OLASUNKANMI BAJULAIYE ILUYOMBO
Mr Olusegun Iluyombo, who is a Chartered Insurance figure is aspiring for the Ikorodu Constituency I Seat on the platform of All Progressive Congress (APC).
He is from Oterun/Odusoga family of Ipakodo town and Liworu-Isele Ward in Ikorodu Township and a graduate of the University of Ilorin in Kwara State and he’s the currently a Research Project student at the Faculty of Business Administration, University of Lagos for a post-graduate degree programme in Master of Business Administration (MBA).
He was a staunch member of the Action Congress (AC) before it later metamorphosed into Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) and now All Progressives Congress (APC). He has been engaging in political activities since 1999 with enthusiastic passion for Democracy. Mr Iluyombo had volunteered and served on a number of community development activities. He is currently the Assistant Secretary/Assistant Coordinator of the Conference of Leaders of Ikorodu Division (COLID), the immediate past Secretary and current Treasurer of Ikorodu Forum just to mention but a few.
He was appointed and sworn-in in 2008 as a Supervisor in the Ikorodu Local Government Council Area under the Chairmanship of Alhaji S. A. Anipole but succumbed few days later to the dictate of the party in order to maintain balance, peace and tranquillity among the party members.

He is a Member of Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) 4/15584 and conferred with Centenary Award, African Church Bethel, Ikorodu in December, 2004. Mr Olusegun Iluyombo is actively engaged with many social, community, political and professional associations.
Mr Iluyombo plans to pursue three agenda if elected as Ikorodu Constituency I Representative, which includes- ensuring that whenever the appropriation of a bill is passed, estimates are critically analysed and resources are distributed in such a way that his constituency is put in priority; ensuring that the laws are passed with the positive interest of the people of Ikorodu and Lagos State at heart and ensuring that the rights of the people of Ikorodu are protected.
BARRISTER OLATUNJI OLADIPUPO ATOLOYE
Barrister Olatunji Oladipupo Atoloye was born to the family of Late Hon.(Chief) Akintoye Atoloye and Mrs. Kanyisola Atoloye (nee Shonubi) both from Ikorodu, Lagos State. His father popularly known and called “Saa jo se” while alive was the first Executive Chairman of Ikorodu West L.C.D.A.
He attended Jehovah Jireh Primary School Mosalashi, Mushin, Lagos from 1984-1986 before relocating to Ikorodu. He completed his Primary School education at Anglican Primary School Ikorodu, Lagos in 1989 and Lagos State Model College, Igbokuta, Ikorodu, Lagos State for his secondary education between1990-1995.
He was admitted to study law at the Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos State and graduated in 2001 with a second class lower division. He proceeded to the Nigerian Law School, Enugu Campus, Enugu State for his professional programme and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2003. He is presently a student member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, United Kingdom.
During his National Youth Service in Abia State, he worked as Junior Counsel with the law firms of C.L. Iroka & Co., 188, Azikiwe Road, Aba, Abia State and Musa M. Tolani & Co., 13, Factory Road Aba, Abia State respectively. He was also the Coordinator of the NYSC Legal Aid Scheme for both Aba North and Aba South Local Governments.
After his NYSC, he worked briefly with the law firm of Segun Sipeolu and Associates, OPIC Plaza Ikeja, Lagos from November 2004-December 2004 before joining the firm of K.O. Tinubu & Co. 213, Igbosere Road, Lagos, from January 2005 till date. He is presently a Senior Associate Counsel in the firm of K.O. Tinubu & Co. Director of Protocols of Lagos State University Law Students Society 1997/98 Session and the Legal Adviser to the Methodist Church Nigeria Diocese of Ikorodu and Ikorodu Circuit respectively.
While in the University, Barrister Atoloye was the General Secretary of the Christian Law Students’ Fellowship of Nigeria (CLASFON) 1998/99 Session; Publicity and Organizing Secretary Christian Law Students’ Fellowship of Nigeria (CLASFON) 1999/2000 Session; Judge of the Lagos State University Students Judicial Council 1999/2000 Session and Chief Judge of the Lagos State University Students Judicial Council 2000/2001 Session.
He acts as Company Secretaries to the following companies – Seraville Properties Limited, Phoenix Global Capital Markets Limited, PG Infrastructure Limted, Arated Construction Consulting Limited, Ethan Associates Limited, Blue Heron Limited, Carollan Investments Limited, Tovalion Integrated Services Limited and Alabukun – Oil Limited to mention a few.
In a chat with IMPACT, he unfolded a 5-point agenda, titled, “MY PROMISE TO THE PEOPLE OF CONSTITUENCY 1”, in which he promised, to influencing legislations aimed at improving the work/life balance of Lagosians; Qualitative representation at the Lagos State House of Assembly; Effective feed back through periodic ward tours and town hall meetings; Knowledge-based and functional oversight on the executive arm with the aim of delivering value to the constituents; Empowerment of the people through direct intervention in facilitating training, education and job creation opportunities for them through our schools and vocation centres.
He is also aspiring for Ikorodu Constituency I seat on the platform of All Progressive Congress (APC).
ARCH. JOKOMBA AYYUB ADELEYE OLAYEMI
Mr Jokomba Adeleye Olayemi was born on the 4th of September, 1976 and attended St. John’s Nursery School, Onipanu, Lagos; Omolewa Nursery/Primary Institution, Yemetu, Ibadan, Oyo State; Ansar-Ud-Deen Grammar School, Surulere; Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Oyo State and University of Lagos, Akoka.
He holds Bachelor of Technology (Architecture), Master of Public Administration (MPA) and Master of Landscaping Architecture (MLA) in view. He is also Grad. Member, Nigeria Institute of Architeure and Nigeria Institute of Management.
Jokomba has working experience with Arch-Skeem Consultants (Apprentice) 1994-95; Taiwo Kara & Associates (Internship) 1997- 98; Urban Development Board, Dutse, Jigawa State (Youth Corper); Lagos State Local Government Service Commission, Somolu Local Government (Architect I) 2003-2010 and Lekki L.C.D.A (Principal Architect) 2010-till date.

Agunbiade as Ikorodu Constituency I on the platform of All Progressive Congress (APC) are Mr Nurudeen Lanre Yekinni Agbaje, Barrister Rotimi Ogunleye, Barrister Lekan Ijelu, Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba, Mr Victor Odunsi and Mr Adeniyi Anifowoshe among others . While on the opposition Peopls Democratic Party (PDP) platform are Mr Semiu Adetokunbo Osho, Mr Mukaila Lamina and Mr Abatan Kazeem. Others are Mrs Olamide Bolanle Jeminat Adebiyi, Mrs Abike Jayesimi, Mr Shodeinde Abdul Olalekan and Mr Lanre Ope.
